Most guests drive to Lake Ranch. However, once you are here, you can easily get around by foot or on a bike. (There are hundreds of miles of scenic bike paths in our area.) There are several restaurants and shops walking distance from us. Across the street is Dune Dogz, the iconic General Store is a few hundred feet away, and there are some good restaurants nearby.

The easiest way to get to us from Gerald R Ford International airport in Grand Rapids is by car. Most guests rent a car or bring their own for increased mobility. Some guests carpool or take a rideshare service.

Often described as a mix between a B&B and hotel, we are a condo association that operates as a resort. Some owners opt to include their unit in the rental pool, and those are the available units. We rent units nightly and they are all uniquely decorated and outfitted by their owners (this is why we highly recommend checking out the website and photos – everyone has different tastes and preferences). We also have a clubhouse and common amenities like the heated saltwater pool, picnic areas, gazebo, gas grills, shuffleboard, grass volleyball court, playground, fish cleaning station, sitting areas and more.

Yes, guests love fishing from our docks, the boardwalk, or the channel. Bait and supplies are available next door at the General Store. There are several fishing piers along the boardwalk. For fishing charters, there are a lot of good ones and we’d recommend SuFISHient Charters

Weekends and holidays during the high season (mid-June through mid-July) often have a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights. Our large 2-bedroom units usually have a minimum stay.

Each unit includes one parking space. We can usually accommodate guests who need more than one parking space, but make sure to let us know ahead of time.

Yes, guests sometimes bring their boats. However, we do not have boat or trailer parking in our parking lot. There is boat and trailer parking just down the street from us. We do not have transient slips, however, Ottawa Beach Marina is just 1/4 mile away and offers nightly dock rentals.

Yes, just next door is a place to rent kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards. A mile down the road is a place to rent boats and jetskis.

Sorry, we have a strict no-pets policy at Lake Ranch. However, we do partner with an excellent pet hotel just up the road, “The Dog House Resort and Spa” so you and your pet can both be on vacation! Contact us for details.

A limited number of guests may be allowed in addition to the people staying in the room (for example, grandkids coming to swim in the pool). Make sure to let us know if you will be having additional visitors.

Every year in the beginning of May, Holland hosts a large Tulip Festival. The streets are lined with tulips and the city parks are packed with tulip gardens: thousands of vibrant tulips all around. Lake Ranch is a great place to stay for Tulip Time because we are a 10 minute drive from downtown, Veldheer’s tulip gardens, and Centennial Park. We are walking distance to the State Park, campground, and Lake Mac beach.

We collect a 50% deposit for all reservations. For reservations with dates in June, July, and August this is refundable up until 30 days before arrival. For reservations in May, September and October this is refundable up until 14 days ahead of arrival. For credit card refunds, we charge 3% to cover credit card fees.

Yes, there are some great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Most of these are just open for the summer season. Within a few miles, there are lots of great options and downtown Holland is only 10-12 minutes away.

We keep our outdoor heated saltwater pool open from Memorial Day through at least the second weekend in September. If the weather is nice in September, we may keep it open a while longer.
