Close to Lake Michigan
The boardwalk from Lake Ranch to the beach passes by the General Store, the Pump House Museum, and some great views. Start your day with a sunrise on Lake Mac and wrap up the day with a sunset on Lake Michigan.
Accommodations
Lake Ranch Resort has often been described as a mix between a B&B and a hotel, renting family-owned condos with all the amenities of a boutique resort. We will greet you in person in the clubhouse and are available for whatever you need during your stay.
Heated Salt Chlorinated Pool
Our Heated Saltwater Pool is known for its windows. Guests frequently compliment us on how clean and comfortably warm we keep the pool. Open Memorial Day Weekend through mid-September (and sometimes longer, weather depending).
Waterfront Dining
Lake Ranch has the perfect waterfront location for sharing time with family and friends old and new. There are 6 gas grills and plenty of picnic tables and space for the perfect get-together. Prefer to eat out? There are several restaurants within a mile of us and downtown Holland is just a 10-minute drive.
Unique Condos in a friendly intimate setting
Lake Ranch is a small resort with 35 individually owned condominium units. The feel is friendly and intimate featuring many activities the whole family can enjoy. Each unit is unique… you will find different decors, furnishings and room amenities.

Our family had stayed at Lake Ranch every summer for twenty years ... right up until Covid hit. This summer was the first we have been back to Lake Ranch Resort since Covid. We found that the resort has been extremely well maintained and especially enjoyed using the heated swimming pool. The resort is conveniently located on Ottawa Beach Road within walking distance of the State Park Beach on Lake Michigan. The resort itself is on Lake Macatawa. The condos that make up the resort are all privately owned. Some of the owners, however, put their units into a rental pool. Some of the units need a little updating, but otherwise everything is clean and comfortable. Our granddaughters also enjoyed being able to walk a short distance to the Ottawa General Store for donuts in the morning and ice cream at night. Staying here also provides an easy drive to Downtown Holland. The town is charming and has many quality stores to shop. It is not as touristy as some of the other towns along Lake Michigan.

Beautiful day rental condos all with their own theme. Our favorite is #15. Lighthouse themed perfect for a family of four (especially with young ones) equipped with a kitchenette (fridge and sink) with a pull out sofa. Pro tip: We place two pool noodles under a sheet to separate the kids in bed. Access to a beautiful courtyard with a volleyball net, gazebo, and gas grills all free for renters to use. They list water access, but it's not beach access, but dock access (seasonal slip rentals). Heated pool (when needed) with fun glass viewing window underwater from the side walk. Sand filled playground for the kids Owner is super nice and very accommodating. Had 4 cars up at once and gave us all passes. Highly recommended!!

We (my wife and I) booked at Lake Ranch Resort through Airbnb for a last minute weekend trip to Holland, MI a couple of weeks back. Had no expectations for anything as we had never been anywhere on Lake Michigan before. I had a difficult time finding a place, as all the hotel rooms I searched were unavailable, so I turned to Airbnb. Wasn’t having much better luck until I came across this place. The weekend couldn’t have turned out better. Check in was easy, the room, while small, had everything we needed and was very clean. By far the best part was the location. Less than a five minute drive to parking at Ottawa Beach. While it was a very busy beach, lots of family’s, it was very clean. Also, it was a nice walk to the beach from our room when not taking chairs etc. From talking to Rick at check in, discovered we lucked in to booking right after a cancellation. After spending the weekend there I knew how lucky we were to come across this place on such short notice. It’s a little petty, but the only complaint I had was not having ice on the premises. Ice was readily available at a nearby store, along with some good frozen treats. We will go back, and probably get one of their larger units. “The Reservoir” restaurant was an easy walk from our place and we thought the food and service there was very good. We ate there both nights. I recommend the Lake Perch and the Tiramisu for desert. We drove 10 minutes to “TheWindmill” for breakfast and found it to be well worth the drive. While the decor was dated the food and service were excellent and recommend it as well.

We rented several rooms for a week for a family reunion. Heather and Randy made our stay seamless and accommodated last minute requests, etc. The pool is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and everyone is very friendly. We truly enjoyed our time there. Very safe, clean, and wholesome.
